ORIGINAL _ TDE CRANES River TYNE 1970 A4 watercolour unframed
Sheila has drawn and painted the river Tyne from an early age and here she has caught it at it's height as she stood at the top of the steps in River Drive looking down on what was then a "BIG RIVER". Teeming with life and sounds .. She remembers the pile driver pounding out it's rhythm over the hooting of the ships horns...
The original drawing is now with Tyne & Wear Archives but Sheila has just painted this update to help it's memory live on AND to help her 3 local charities survive too.
