ORIGINAL A3 Mounted - BLUEBELL WOOD - Poster Paint 1951
"Bluebell Wood" was painted by Sheila sitting in the hall with loads of others in rows at uncomfortably small wooden desks at ye olde Girls High School 1951 doing her first art exam. It was painted from memory she had of such a wood near Hexham. The whole family used to go out in her Dads' old Ford 8 car and Her Aunty Mabel's posher Ford Cortina every other Sunday for picnics exploring the NE.
She knows she should donate it to S/Shields Archive as it is a "local memory" but is thinking
"if my 3 charities Willows cat adoption centre Sea Change Café South Shields The Customs House can benefit from it's sale at £90 (£30 each) and it goes to a home that cares then I'll give THAT a go first. We are also throwing in a free A4 print of a bluebells drawn on my ipad this year in our garden and a coaster of same"
