Sheila feels lucky that she have quite a few trees and bushes in their small garden.. and ..VERY lucky that TIp likes to spend all day in it - if the weather is sunny. If you purchase this oil painting created in 2019 aged 79 Sheila is now donating a painting she did in 1951 aged 11 of "The Bluebell Wood" It was the Subject set for end of term school exam... as Sheila remembers..

"Rows of us sitting with folding wooden desks in the upper hall. Invilgilator walking slowly up and down. The school secretary Mrs Ogle told me years later that she could not believe an 11 yr old could do this. I owe this one to family weekend trips out in my Dads Old Ford 8 car travelling all over the N.E. here it was a wood near Morpeth."

As Sheila was awarded "Freedom of the Borough" of South Tyneside in 2023 for her work in Art & Education Tyne & Wear Museums are collecting her work for their archive.. However Sheila says she would much rather they went to good homes where the picture MEANT something to whoever chose to own it - also the name of the owner will go down in the archives as a permanent historical record.
