Our beloved Groyne - welcoming icon at the mouth of the Tyne has long been in need of some TLC and has been battered and blown recently with gales causing it to collapse into quite a dangerous condition .. HOWEVER Barbour have come to the rescue with a £250,000 new Barbour Jacket which Sheila caught in this painting .. a rare A5 watercolour record of an historic event .. plus an image of our little lighthouse still missing it's top!
