John LIghtfoot MBE who ran "Northern Window Blinds" a business in Sunderland in 1988 commissioned Sheila to create a logo for him and later the 12 images were used for a Sunderland Echo Based Calendar. This one is of "Doxfords Shipyard on the Wear" Sunderland.In the 1930's/40's there were nine shipyards in Sunderland . Not only did Doxford’s outstrip the other eight, it launched the greatest general cargo ship output of all shipyards on the British mainland... helping make Sunderland "The Biggest Shipbuilding town in the world" at that time.
