PRINT--COLLEYS FARM 1951

Painted by Sheila for homework aged 11 . "A place you pass on the way to school." Her Mam suggested Colleys Farm on Grosvenor Road. So she took her watercolour paints and pad, sat on the fence and painted it. She continued to cycle past it as it was demolished, along with the horses and cows, to make way for S.Shields Marine & Tech College in 1956.The original is now in the archives of S/S Museum and Art Gallery .. but the print is still available as a memory of quieter days in Shields.
