This is the only remaining sketch that Sheila did of a local view for her homework in 1952. The other two of "Colleys Farm "and "Trees in Woods Garden" have been donated by her to Shields Museum.. It shows the Gatehouse Cottage that used to be on this spot 72 years ago . Sheila, aged 12, stood outside her house in 3 Lavington Rd and drew what she saw.. As she stood and painted those same trees today Feb 14th 2024 aged 83 she remembered her homework image from the past and dug it out to sell
