PRINT "HOLY TRINITY CHURCH Jan 25"..
Sheila has got to thinking that Shields - along with many other places is losing it's church buildings as they are either put to other uses or pulled down. So she is going through her collection of drawings of churches done on the spot in their hey-day and trying to bring them back to life for posterity in paintings . This one is TRINITY CHURCH South SHIELDS demolished in 1980 but happily drawn by Sheila in 1978. She has tried to inject new life into the image by adding a strong red sunset with a glow in some windows and welcoming half open door.
