Sheila was married in 1965 - and left River Drive and her Mam who moved to this single persons flat in Masefield Drive. Sheila found that life on a P&O Cruise Ship was not as down to earth as her Dad's Merchant Navy ships she had grown up with..so she jumped ship in 1970 and returned here back to her Mam at Masefield- sleeping in a sleeping bag on the floor and discovering that the much feted "under floor heating" was NOT actually hot. By a stroke of luck an uncle she had never met left a large legacy to all the family and Sheila and her Mam were to move on to Meldon Avenue that year.. but that's another story and another drawing..
