PRINT- of SCRAPERBOARD- MAYFLOWER 1952/3

Size A5 - very small but VERY old created by Sheila when she was 13/14 for an art competition held at St.Paul's Church South Shields where she was christened in 1940. Her Mam had bought her a scraperboard set from the Mawson Swan's Art Shop in Newcastle which Sheila LOVED visiting with her once a month. Sheila played with this a while and when she was invited to have a go at this art competition she copied this from an encyclopedia they had at home.. She chose a galleon because her Grandad Fitzgerald had been a chippie on "Wooden Ships" way back .. and had told her stories .£20 covers framing, packing and postage - all profit sails to our 3 charities..
