IN the 1970's whilst still an Art Teacher in a local Comp. School Sheila would tour Shields when she could gripping her A1 Drawing board with Cartridge paper pinned at the ready .. her usual haunt was the river but this day she ventured up the road from Meldon Avenue to St Peter's Church - as she always liked the shape of it's spire agains the trees . Now she is in her "RED PHASE" she has brought that 1970 image to life 55 years later by painting this Sunset.
