My Oldest Friend was Sylvia Welsh who died far too young at 62. She was bridesmaid at my wedding in 1965 and I asked what she would like as a "thankyou" she said a painting of Westoe Village - I managed it 20 years later!! ON her death her brother Charles Welsh kindly gave it back to me and I have passed it on to the Mother of a good friend who lives in the village today.
