IN the late 1950's Sheila was an art student at Sunderland College of Art (now the posher University of Sunderland) and she was drawing everything in sight in the North East.. including this pit head at Whitburn - closed in mid 1960's - so she just caught it in time! . Her tutor drew in the figures when she showed it to him at college !!
