Sheila has recently completed this watercolour as a commission for Linda Thomson who now lives down South but has happy
memories of the area.. she tells us ”

“when I was little there used to be swings and a slide close by. My grandad used to drive me in his blue mobility car, and wait while I had a little play. He worked in the Whitburn colliery and his back was broken in a mining accident .”

Sheila added Linda and her Grandad in the picture- for old times sake.
