Sheila has admired the work of South Shields Artist George McVay from the age of 8 in 1948 when her Mam bought a set of his drawings commissioned by the local Paper "The Shields Gazette" that year. George was born 1902, Sheila in1940 and quite by chance their lives have followed parallel courses both in the subjects chosen.
